Attached a SS in the post.

Just would like to know if I made the right call. We were the last 7 players in the High Roller. so basically Im the shorest on the table and we were playing for a while. Everyone playing real tight as is the last 7 and any double up would make a big difference. I got KJ of clubs and made a regular PF raise and everyone folded but the BB who shoved. In my mind I knew he was playing real tight and had not gotten out off line too often so I considered folding; however, I was the shortest and was trying to get a double up before the level went up and called his 3B shove. What would you have done there??

He Showed AK and I lost

Off 12bb you should be shoving this preflop. KJs isn't a hand we want to induce with here and shoving is +EV. As played you should be snap folding KJs to a reshove here against a tight player. You're going to be crushed against his range .

With such a tight game, probably you did the right thing. You needed double. All in was better in your position. You would be called. With your regular raise and your observation against the player after the 3-bet you could consider a fold. It's just a very close decision.

I don't mind the min raise given how the table playing. Should have folded don't see any hands you ahead of at best you flipping against 10's or 9's or slightly behind to AQ rest of range has you crushed.
One thing to consider if you were ITM, UTG has a little less than you maybe wait till he double up/bust to gamble on a hand in which case just fold pre flop.

Shoving KJs preflop was +EV move as you had 12bbs and table is quite tight
But Calling a shove against your raise is -EV call as you are mostly up against range that would beat you up easily

possible range is AA-JJ , AK , AQ , QKs , AJs

Considering above range we might be up against , KJs has little to less equity to even find a call

One other thing about shoving pre is that you're not kicking yourself about the decision to call or fold against a 3B. But as discussed you're behind just about every hand he has here.
