Any thoughts about how I played this hand are appreciated, my personal thoughts on the hand are below along with some questions I had. Thank you.

1) Should I have not even played the hand, or given up on such a coordinated flop?
Even though I had 40 bbs after folding, I felt extremely utility constricted given the stack sizes at the table.

2)Should I have made my raise bigger preflop to give him worse odds to make the call?

I felt like my hand was too good to fold preflop and calling was not an option since Id be inducing a squeeze from aggro players.

I made the wrongful assumption I could take it down with a cbet since he had little history against me and would hopefully give me credit for a hand.

After he shoved I assumed he was on a draw or possibly an overpair but I didnt think I had enough equity to make a call so I folded.
