------ Summary ------
Pot: 3800. Rake 0
Board: [3c Qd 4s]

I would like to startt off by saying i think my open size should be a little bigger her maybe 2.75x or 3x but with that said I got 4 callers. Then you see what the flop was and that I was holding top pair with 2nd Kicker. When villan shoves here on the flop it completely confused me, what could he have here that he would play this way, i mean i guess he could have a set of 3, or set of 4s, but maybe Q4, Q3, and just called with pot odds. Anyway as played I folded cause i was confused and had a very decent chip stack to make it to FT. Not sure if I left money on table in this spot or not. LMK guys

i dont think sets of 3/4 will shove there

it could be Q3, Q4 or 56 but theres also another Qx that you can beat

its a call for me

I agree with you about the sets, that is why I was confused, he snap shoved as soon as flop hit and caught me off guard, i sat there and tanked for a while but ended up folding. The villan was a complete unknown to me and I had never seem him play at all prior to this hand. After watching him play from this point on if it would of happen again i definitely would've called him. Villan was a "fun" player from all the hands i saw him in after this one. But at that moment with being confused and having no history I just erred on side of caution and made a tight fold. I ended up taking 3rd in tourrney so I cant complain. Maybe if I had taken this spot I take first or second or maybe it knocks me down to not even making the FT will never know but I was very confused at the moment of the hand. Note: after seeing him play more I am inclined to say he had Qx the question is was the X a 3 or 4, or was it like an 8,7, or 9, i doubt it was higher possibly a T but if it were a J or above he would of jammed pre from what i saw of him play IMHO.

its a call, he has probably weak kicker and top pair, donks are making donk bets with top pair bad kicker off position also with draws he could shove in this spot, still your play is a call with 60/40 your way or even better.

Yeah in this tournament, this is the flop I'm hoping to hit. Also there Wouldn't even be surprised to see villain show up with something like 66 in this spot. Recreational players like you described do some weird things regardless of chip stack. Sometimes they just think they can win every hand by shoving, regardless of other players' ranges.

Personally I open shove pre here. You're shoving 18bb eff and around 14 avg eff BBs. I'd rather not r/c here like we'll have to against everyone but the BB and we can fold out hands like small pairs and weak Ax which might other jam on us and shoving is +cEV. Opening 2.75-3x into stacks these short would be terrible, you should be opening 2-2.2x if you're going to make a standard raise here.

This is a terrible fold on the flop. Why would your opponent ever open lead jam better here? This is most likely a mid-high Qx hand or 65. You have top pair and a good kicker on a dry board, snap call.

Weaker Q, 65, A3, A4, 34 or even a pocket pair like 55 66 77.
My best guess is a Q like Q8.
Should have been an easy call.

Considering your read later on maybe tells you that you should've called, but with no reads at all I think folding isn't bad at this spot. However it was a confusing play and he doesn't seem to be a very good player so probably he had top pair weak kicker like Q5, or he had flopped two pairs.

It sounds like he had his mind made up on the flop he was shoving. So if he connected at all he was going to put all his chips in the middle. Qx is prob most likely hand, though 34, Q3, Q4, and any str8 draw could do this.

I think it's player dependent and you need a good read on your opponent, so the fold isn't too too bad.

conrats on the 3rd place!

I don't think that he has a set, because it is very strange way to play it. He didn't give you a chances to develop the hand with more high cards. I agree with the opinion that he has QX. Probably he don't want to see a high card K or A on the turn/river this is why he is shoving. I would put him or QJ or QT

i wouldnt fold qk on a q43 flop. maybe villain have a hand like kj,k10 or maybe even 56. even though a set or two pair is a possibilty or even aq i think this is an insta call.

I would snap call this, it's crazy for villain to donk-shove here with anything better than KQ

Preflop I raise to 2.2 BB . It 's really strange this all in post flop when three have to speak . I read the comments above , yes set so bad played is not probable , Qx with low kicker trying to take the pot right there or make all fold is somekind possible , all though I think AQ is more possible , two pair no , I don't think so . For me it's a fold , except if he was a total donk
