I kinda realized after the fact that betting this river means he is probably only calling with a better hand... so while i know im probably ahead, he's going to fold almost everytime im ahead, so i just risked 10% of my stack on nothing with the river bet. i should have just checked and let it go to showdown... is that an accurate review of what happened?

preflop im either limping or folding here, you have loose looking players to act behind you and you are already facing a limp, it's really hard to get away postflop when you hit an ace also, so overall not a great spot to even enter since it's so early in the SNG. Basically there will be more downsides than good when you open easily dominated hands into loose opponants, technically you can make chips in this spot, but overall it has very little impact on your overall profitability and its much better to say raise maybe 10% looser from the SB in later stages to pick up bigger blinds than taking on these spots.

as played i think betting this river is totally fine, however i'm betting much smaller to target hands that i think can call. The problem is that he can have stuff that beats us, so we can get stcuk value owning ourselves here, like, this about it, How often does he call flop with stuff like Jx Tx on this flop containing an ace? so if he rarely has those hands, we're not getting paid that often vs those, so it leaves split pot situations or Ax hands that we are losing too. Or it's busted draws or it's 6x maybe 2x. So vs that range of hands checking back seems like a pretty great option, however also value betting really small is a good option vs players who you think can call us with 3rd and 4th pair. But overall i like a check here on this river for reasons mentioned above, i think we're eitehr getting folds/splits or value owning ourselves here more than we're getting called by hands like KT or 6x or whatever.

keep in mind the sample is only 8 hands, so its probably better to have not included the stats... i usually assume villains to have average stats until i get a meaningful sample size of hands.

yep, i shouldn't have included this. However on a random table this still isn't in my isolation range as it jst gets dominated too often. you are much better of playing this for its nut high flush value and also its straight value, so limping along and trying to get a multiway pot going is a pretty good idea for this hand type. im not saying raising this is bad, i'm just saying its not in my personal isolationg raise after a limper as a standard. if he folded i'm raising this for sure.
