So, on reflection, we could all say yes, but my question is - Did I do wrong in not folding this hand? Or should I have played it different?

There's no way you should have folded that imo.

When people go crazy all-in like that, you can generally bet they have following ranges:
JJ+, AQ+, ATs+.
Now against all those hands you're hugely favored. Pairs because they only have 2 outs, and Ax because they have 3 outs that they have to hit twice!

So in this case in particular, you had a 66% winrate preflop. Those are really good odds to triple your stack.

I feel like hands like JTs are more dangerous in this position than what they have, but who allins preflop with that?

This was simply a bad beat, and you shouldn't doubt this play in my opinion.

Feedback is appreciated! (especially on estimating hand ranges, since I'm trying to learn those)

There's no analysis to this hand. Just get it all in preflop and hope for the best.
