Was it a mistake to check/fold this flop after my 3bet pre? I think in this table I have a wide perceived 3bet range (like 14% or so) although the flop still drills my 3bet range pretty hard and would be easy to represent AK on this flop, once I check, it becomes hard to continue, but Im almost certainly behind here. Theres a very strong chance that the flop has hit BB and MP+1's ranges pretty well too and even if I represent AK do they fold their Ax/Kx hands often enough?

3B pre is debatable from the SB this deep, though in a lower buyin I feel it's fine.

Flop is an easy check/fold. I'd rather not have to make a high variance double/triple barrel here, especially as players are more sticky this deep stacked.

i think it could go either way as a 3bet or a call pre. I personally like the 3bet as I'm developing a LAG style because it narrows vilain's range and has high implied odds when we hit the jack on AJx KJx or QJx flops as well as we often have the best hand on any low flop where the high card is a jack or lower I like calling pre with JJ better with stack sizes between 25-50bb

to be totally honest, Im sure a lot of people will never admit this, but at the time when i played this hand, I was involved in a big hand on another table and wasnt totally paying attention in this hand, immediately after I checked I remembered that I 3bet pre and felt that it was a mistake to check. tagged the hand for review and in review decided that a check/fold is probably okay on this board, but that may also be results oriented thinking. (I was only playing 2 tables, but I was tired from a long week at work, and took off poker all week so I could work longer shifts and was still warming up for the weekend)

I think you're right though that turning this hand into a bluff would probably take 2 barrels or maybe 3, reevaluating on each street and definitely would need to be sized correctly, leaving a lot of room for hero mistakes.
