$5.50 NLHE MTT Rebuy: JJ late in 888 $5.50 10k

I've been playing cash exclusively for a couple of months, but decided to switch back to tourneys. Spun up a $5.50 ticket on 888 and put it to use last night, had a nice run of cards, won a couple of flips, and finished 25th from a field of over 1500.

It was nearly 2am here in the UK when I played this hand, about 2 minutes before the break and I was practically falling asleep Think I might have played this different with my wits about me.

Interested in thoughts as played anyway. Also, is anyone just folding JJ pre flop to avoid getting involved with the larger stack this close to the final table?

I would shove preflop with your stack size. You can’t fold to a 4bet so just shoving seems fine. I would call with a smaller pair like 8s.

I would most likely play it exactly the same way across every street, though I could be talked into jamming. If so, I probably would only have a 3b jamming range, and NOT a 3b small range. It's too hard to construct in a way that's reasonable imo if we're 3b jamming some hands and 3b small with others.

Calling preflop is also acceptable, but in the same vein as above, I don't think I'd have a 3bet range if I'm flatting JJ here.

NEVER folding preflop.

Preflop: I am 3 betting to 6bb 85-90% of the time and just flatting 10-15% When I very rarely flat I will call any jam from the blinds (unless maybe it's a jam and a rejam).

Flop: I'm just gonna be married to the hand on most clean runouts.

I would Cbet between 7-9bb

the turn....gross. nice check back. This is NOT one of the clean runouts I was talking about. lol. And we don't have to see monsters under the bed and assume villain has a K, but we don't want to put money into the pot now where hands worse than ours will have hard time calling. Also you may get value from a bluff or a T later by checking now.

River: as played there is no folding. if he rivered a straight or flush then good for him.
