I call in SB, no sense inflating the pot and no sense trying to steal a blind at early level. We want to see a cheap flop and hopefully hit a set and if not get out.

It's not that early.

Preflop - given how loose MP / BB are, limping will save you chips long term. Most of the time you should be happy raising 88 OOP, but not against these two whales. Situational poker and whatnot :)

I'd bet this flop for value and pray for a blank turn, sometimes you'll run into a K but most of their calling range is actually behind 88 here. As played, that bet sizing screams that he has something - just let this one go.

Turn card is a nightmare, we're super done.

I've started playing a lot more conservative from the blinds, so I would just complete preflop. See a cheap flop, hope to hit a set.

As played, I probably fold the flop. That K is scary.

After the turn it's definitely check/fold.

If you're raising pre, then you should cbet this flop.
What is your thinking when you choose to x/c this flop? (and what's the plan for the turn, (considering good chance more overcards will come... ))

The MP call was bugging me and thats why I didn't cbet the flop and I was kicking myself the rest of the hand.

in the end river kill me when he showed hand with 97o

I think raise preflop is a good move. But I would raise smaller, 2.5-3 BB is enough.
The alarming thing is that BB also called.
Most ppl would fold on flop, this call can also can be ok if you want to take the pot later if possible (since your chance to get set on turn-river very low).
Turn ok
River: A 1/3 or half pot raise would be ok here IMO.

The OR is fine for me, but in the flop when I am the aggressor I prefer a C bet 40% of the pot because taking this line I obtain more information

Regards!

I agree completely... I knew the BB was coming along cause he had a chip in the pot and i was planning on just hammering him every street, but when the MP dude followed, it through me for a loop he was on a bit of heater and won the 4 hands before with cheesy cards but was hitting 2 pair or trips. I knew the second i checked the flop I lost all control of how it was going to play out so I checked it down and lost the minimum.

Early in MTT, I dont want to put myself into a hole with a mediocre hand, so I would limp (cash is different). Having raised, I would have to C bet.
