Hi guys, any thoughts on this hand I played in a $215 ticket sattelite, $44 buy in? No particular reads on the involved players. I think A2s is a good squeeze candidate and after flatting the open and flatting my 3bet, I put the villian in the cutoff on a midpair between probably 66-TT. Betting one-third on flop to set up the turn shove, hoping him to fold his midpair. Do you think I do not get enough folds from midpairs in this spot? Or should I widen his range (some suited connectors may also be in their range, however, i expect most of them to fold flop, execpt for 89 or 9T) Or should I not squeeze in this spot in general because it is a UTG open (without reads)?

In your place, I would just call preflop, but as played, I could 3bet 3x max in this spot. On the flop, I would check, on this board the check shows a lot of strenght, and come with the agro on the turn with the draw and all in on river, i think this play would put a lot more pressure on him

I think should have been a called considering you said that you had "no reads",

UTG 2x raise does not look strong, the call from the villain does represent a middle pair or maybe suited connectors Pre flop,

If he has been playing attention your raise on the button could have seemed like a steal for the weak 2x raise UTG and the call from the CO,

So if he puts you in a AX (considering that you tried to steal) than he does not have a worry to keep calling (plus he covers you in ships, if he looses he would still have like 20-30 BB)

Now if he puts you in AJ+ if he believes you had a strong pre hand on the button, than the flops also benefits him.

I see that you gave him like 4:1 odds on the flop too, and then the all in when the club turned, seemed odd.

*did this person folded previously to your aggression?

I agree, with a check in the flop we represent a strong hand, with a bet looks like as we are triying to puts a lot of preassure in order to make that the villain folds.
