Well first off the K5 combo in general isn't really that strong of a hand so even with the pair on the flop I wouldn't be that confident in the hand (anyone with a higher kicker can beat you), and you're OOP with a really bad hand so not a stellar hand to start out with either but I get the checking from the BB so for this instance it's ok. The c-bet post flop is a good move seeing as you hit the pair but I'd of raised 3BB just to make the pot odds a little worse for anyone with a flush draw to try and chase them off the pot.

On the turn though, someone possibly hit the flush and playing OOP you can't actually tell here so personally I would check or make a smaller bet, I explain my logic here in a second, and if they make a bet or if they re-raise fold the hand to the probable flush. The reason for the check or small bet is this, if they have the flush they must likely aren't gonna slow play you and if they make a large bet you can get some knowledge about the hand they have without risking your chips, you made a large bet after the turn so them calling it doesn't really give you an idea on the flush or not.

Another thing to note here is what they villain will perceive your hand as, seeing a heart on the flush and they are holding the A high flush they know your hand can't beat them and seeing as you checked on the BB they know that you potentially have any hand as it was free but it's not a premium hand because they'd assume you to 3bet, on the flush they probably said you most likely hit a pair or a draw at best but once the turn comes they know that the best possible hand you have is a flush (which will be weaker then the one they have) or three of a kind if you were sitting on a pair. Now if you think about what you have as a villain sometimes this can help you save chips or win chips by semi-bluffing or making small bets for informations sake if any of that made any sense. Basically hand reading and hand reading from the villains perspective is helpful.

Now for the river. Checking is fine knowing that a flush or a pair of A beat you easily, but once they go all in I would have folded without a second thought because of them calling the previous bets the probably have the flush or at least a pair of A. Generally one rule I made for myself is when someone goes all in on the river and I'm holding something like high pair or two pair and there's either a straight or flush, or a higher pair possibility, I fold. Yeah I know that's probably too passive sometimes but it saves me a lot of chips for when they actually do have the better hand.

Sorry that was kinda in depth but I hope it helps!

Thank you.

Some clear errors there to address, my thought process during the hand was way off line on reflection. I needed a strong read on villain to justify the hero call with second pair on that board, which I just didn't have. Must work harder on hand reading

And also sorry if the hand format could be better. As you no doubt know its just a copy and paste straight from hand history. Any advice on this as well so it's better for anyone offering advice on any hands I post would be appreciated.

Thanks again

preflop, if he is limping too often, I would raise here, K5o is a bad hand to play preflop and your BB range gets stronger.

Post flop, as played, I would check/call here for pot control. On the turn, as played, I would check/call too and on the river, I would probably check and, depending on the bet size, call or fold, with a big bet I fold and about 1/3 I call

Glad I could help! I think the hand history is fine don't sweat that part to much, if anyone wants to know something special or doesn't get something they'll usually ask you before they answer anything.

And just a side note for hand reading, it's probably one of the harder skills to understand, but one of the ways I practice it is to go through some of my old hands and figure out my own hand range in each of my hands and then once I get that down pretty well I go to working on some villain ranges that I have a lot of hands against. That just makes it a little easier because I know how I play so I have a pretty good idea about my ranges already so looking at hands I feel like I know a little about already makes it a little easier to know what to look for when I'm reading hands. Same things with the frequent villain hands, once you play against someone enough you kinda get their style and know what your looking for so you can pick up hand reading without having to go from scratch against someone you have 1 hand against.

Best of luck to you with the hand reading and I'll keep an eye out for some of your other hands!
