KQo is a real trouble hand for me, so although seemingly being a completely pointless hand for a review, I'd like to ask if my play was correct and/or what were my other options?

Relying on some previous examples I've given while playing KQo, I'd say myself, that having blockers to AK and AQ, being OOP and missing the post-flop playability that KQs has, it was fine, especially against a late position open.

EDIT: The Villain was new to the table, no stats on him.

Against a late position open, 3-betting KQo and folding to the jam is just fine. You can use a smaller raise size though, T1250-T1350 will be just as effective as what you used in this hand, if they were going to fold to T1511 they would also fold to a smaller size.

KQ is too strong of a hand to 3B/fold here vs a 23bb stack. If the opener has 30bb+ then we have a good hand to 3B/fold.

I likely flat here or make it 1750 and call off a 4B shove.
