$30 NLHE MTT: $ NLHE MTT: Stack sizes concern: fold or call allin shove with small pair

MTT, already in the money, around 20 guys left, 7 guys table, SB 15000, BB 30000, POT 66000, I'm the first one to act with a 573876 stack and raise to 60000 with 33, solid villain (according to stats) goes all in from under the gun with a 383518 stack, everyone else folded.
I folded, but I'm wondering if I was too conservative considering stacks and the fact that only the first places are those making the game worthy in the long haul.
Villain's level of play should be even considered in this situation?
What hand would have made my decision more "callable"?
I thought about calling if villain stack were below 300000/250000, but I'm not quite sure of the math.

Any comments appreciated

UTG is first to act, so I guessing you are UTG and V was UTG+1 (not UTG) jams 12bb over your raise

You have appox 19bb right and raise 33 utg and get jammed on, Im folding, plus Im not raising 33 on this stack in EP. Gotta preserve those 18bb for good hands because you got no room to raise fold any hands

I might of interperted the description above wrong

Yes, sorry. I'm UTG and the guy shoving is the one before the button. So i should have folded in the first place, but how better should my hand be in order to call from a bad position? middle pair is enough?

Or should i think: if you decided to raise in that situation, it means you are willing to call with whatever hand at least to any smaller stack.

Also, my idea (not sure if good or bad) of a mini raise at a small table around 6max, is about guys getting only trash hands so it could be easy to get blinds with no opposition. Of course that could be done with any two cards, but adding a decent hand to call only against convenient stacks.

I have some questions.

What is average stack size? Stack sizes on your table ? Any ante ? How fast levels going up? Any additional information ?

Average stack size i don't know, stack sizes were: i was chip leader at the table (guessing tournament chip leader was 2 or 3 times bigger), villain was second, then another guy with 365 and the rest between 200's and 100's. Ante was 3000, blinds going up every 9 minutes.

You raised from UTG and villain with 12BB still decided to shove, his range should be well ahead of 33, I guess at best you are facing AJo to have a coin flip.

I would call his shove with AQs+ and 99+

I dont think you should be raising utg with those stack sizes, you are setup to get jammed on. Once you get 18-20bb effective stacks think you really got to be prepared to get it in.... when you raise and with 33 utg, what do you do if you get min raised, or 3b, or jammed on? I would much prefer this kind of raise on the button vs utg.

as the UTG getting jammed on holding 33 theres not much you're beating and at best flipping.
Good spot to fold against a solid opponent imo
