$3 NLHE MTT: Flopped Trips in Limped Pot

Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 46/8/11

Villain1 has a VPIP of 46% and an AF of 11. Those numbers aren't going to work together.

Pretty much the the top 1% for both stats.

V1 limps in the HJ. SB completes. Hero is in the BB w JTo. I considered a preflop raise given V1's VPIP but I didn't want to bloat the pot OOP.

With an AF of 11, V1 is betting this flop 100%, so I check after the SB checks.

V1 bets the min and V2 calls in the SB. Despite the trips, there are obviously some straight draws but I block a lot of them so I called with the plan to start increasing aggression on the turn. The pot is 2680.

So I led out for 1/2 pot on the turn and V1 min raised. I decided to call and let V blast off on the river bc of hias aggression factor?

Any views on what to do here?

I like the way you played this hand. Betting the flop will most of the time run off bluffs and mostly get called by say jq,jk,ja. By him shoving he may feel he has a lot of equity, with no showdown value, say 910s or 10ks. I feel calling his shove is what I do in this particular position. If he limped qs, 7s, or 8s so be it but I don't think he did.

Disregard, 8s had a brain fart. Was thinking and he doesn't have jq in his range very often with such a high AF. Do you think he ever limps QQ, JQ+, or 7s? This is a very ideal situation. Flopping favorably, and the opponent you want to be heads up against playing right into your hand.

Limp pre is fine.

Check/raise flop, you are allowing both of your opponents to see a cheap turn here by just calling when we can get value from their Qx/draws.

I don't mind the lead on this turn. I would definitely make it 5555 when he minraises you. Your leadout on this turn looks pretty FOS and villain is overly aggro, so making a small 3bet gives him room to spew.

I flatted. Spades comes in on the river. Perfect spot for V1 to bluff. I check with plan to call all bets ex all in which would take some consideration but at these stakes I don't expect an Ace of spades jam, possible, but unlikely
