Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 18/7/6.5

There's 7 players left and I'm currently 4th in chips.

Chip leader is on my left and in BB.

It folds to me in the SB and I have KQo. At this stack depth I'm usually raising min to 2.2x but in these SB vs. BB battles I usually go 2.5 to 3x to charge for being OOP.

I raised 2.2x and get 3b. Villain has tight numbers from above and a 6% 3b freq.

Do you flat, 4b, or fold in this spot?

I'm assuming, maybe incorrectly that the 6% 3b range is wider vs. a SB raise.

Fold, it's a decent hand to open up but you face a wel sized bet. You're behind against a lot of his range. Just be patient and wait for a better spot.

SB vs BB means his 3 bet range should be way wider. That doesn't mean that it IS way wider, but it SHOULD be. I think I'm calling and taking a peak at the flop in this spot. He has to have AK, AQ or AA,KK for you to be dominated, and he might do this with weaker suited broadways or pocket pairs that you're flipping with.

Sometimes in poker you should consider the consequence of your play. Sitting at FT with the cheap leader on your left is a very tricky spot specially bb vs bb situations, where all of the mistakes come from! I would fold in this spot. Calling the 3-bet against cheap leader and see the post flop OOP is a suicide for me at this stage. I would like to take more a passive style against cheap leader in the bb vs bb situation. More calling my valuable hand would play well post flop and try to induce raising from the chip leader and eventually exploit more chips from my left!

I'm letting it go pre. Someone running 18/7/6 likely is not going to be 3Bing as wide as they can here and villain is on the tighter side. Against a looser opponent KQo plays very well into your 4B/fold range here (we are blocking QQ/KK/AQ/AK which are all hands V will 5B shove vs a 4bet while taking away V's positional advantage and leverage postflop should we flat a 3B.

Hindsight 20/20 this probably is a fold. I'm likely dominated and stacking off to a better hand. Just fold.

I had been card dead and got stubborn though.

Here's the flop:

HERO calls (34200)
*** FLOP ***: [5s Jc 2c]
Player HERO checks
Player VILLAIN bets (50000)

V has a 67% cbet freq.

I folded. Lighting chips on fire at the FT. Congrats.

trent, would you call if it was suited? or does that matter as much at this stack depth OOP?

pre flop I would 4bet all in or fold, the call and to be OOP its not a good factor and the all in puts preasure on him, he was the CL but a all in could break him down to 30BB and KQ blocks a lot of his 3bet tight range
