Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 23/16/7

I have the table covered and Villain in UTG+2 spot makes it 3.5x. I know most peope 3b this spot but it is an abnormal raise. I didn't have a ton of hands on this V since he had recently moved to the table. He was running a 10/10 at the time of this hand but only with 5 hands (the above stats are after this hand and over 35 hands).

Position Name Stack
MP2 16,314 (23.3 bb)
MP3 16,235 (23.2 bb)
CO 21,046 (30.1 bb)
BTN 38,345 (54.8 bb)
SB 40,367 (57.7 bb)
BB 38,894 (55.6 bb)
UTG+1 15,890 (22.7 bb)
UTG+2 30,421 (43.5 bb)
MP1 Hero 53,246 (76.1 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A of diamonds K of clubs
UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 raises to 2,519, Hero calls 2,519, 5 folds, BB calls 1,819

I'll call and play accordingly since the player is an unknown. BB comes along for the ride.

V cbets this dry flop but with the nut unpaired hand, I am going to float in position.

The Turn is where it gets interesting.

V checks when the Ace hits.

Turn: (21,455) A of hearts (3 players)
BB checks, UTG+2 checks,

Any views on how to proceed?

I'd bet here, probably around a 1/2-3/4 pot bet. The other's arn't showing any signs of strength and with the nut pair on a dry board most likely they both were hoping for a straight or flush and missed. Only thing you have to watch out for is a check-raise by someone with a set, otherwise you shouldn't worry to much and be aggressive and take home a healthy sized pot.

I am in board with that guy. Probably have the winning hand but worth being cautious if a check raise comes. People tend to be a bit tighter close to bubble so facing a check raise, you're probably beat.

I bet the turn and got check raised.

BB checks, UTG+2 checks, Hero bets 10,728, BB folds, UTG+2 raises to 23,536 and is all-in,

We're effectively losing to 7 combos: AA (1), TT (3), A4s (2), and 44 (1) but the action is sub-optimal.

I do see micros players turn their JJ, QQ, and KK into bluffs at this point but what would you do?

Cheers

"Cooler or poorly played?" - no, everything is fine) this happens, no one is insured)
there is one golden rule: "if you encounter a check / raise on the turn - reconsider the power of your hand!" because there will be almost no bluffs in this place... and most often will be hand 2 pairs +...

absolutely, but the problem is the price. The problem was the size of my bet on the turn, not calling the raise in my view.

you played with a good player! he played his hand very much...
but, I think that the problem was not the size of your bet...
would not you call the his all-in on the blank river?))
by the way:
"I know most peope 3b this spot but it is an abnormal raise." - I heard about this...
says, that when you make raise without position with pocket pairs such as 1010 and JJ, you should put a little more...
