I think so. Your stack sizes are comparable. I think you should at least have an ace on board or otherwise a connector or pair.

It’s so close. I don’t know exactly what icmizer would say but I’d take that decision with the information I got about the opponent. Also for me it’s a call sometimes , probably I’d think to fold <K9 call >K9. That’s why i say it’s so close

Do not play mtts a lot so hard to be confident 100% but I think average opponent at this stake at that stage of a tournament are gonna be way tighter than they should be, so me its seem like a tough fold. But if you know the guy is somewhat aggressive its becomes quite an easy call.

Super close. I think I call here and pray for live cards if I'm not ahead.

At first glance this feels like a ridiculously standard call off to me. It's small stakes so yes people will probably not jam correctly and some people will jam too tight, but even with that it's gotta be a call imo. So many suited connectors, Kx, Qx will jam. How can we fold this hand?

Anyway here's what ICMizer says (for chipEV)

Even if you think that's ridiculously too wide for villain to jam, I don't see how he can ever jam too tight for us to fold K9. I'll find close to the breakeven point just to show how absurd it is. If villain jams only this:

Then we can fold K9o.... barely lol.

I'll grant you that's chipEV not $EV but still. We aren't SUPER close to the final table or anything yet so I think chipEV should be a decent approximation, and it would be super rare to find someone only jamming 22% in that spot.

If this guy has been raising in this spot a lot, this is a no-brainer. In all other situations, I am folding. Id rather wait and moving in a spot where I have some fold equity and or a better hand.

It is a standard call IMO.. way too many Qx and Jx hands opponent can shove, especially with 17BB left.
Honestly, I can think of several Qx hands I would call, probably Q8+ or Q9+ because of all the small pocket pairs that are in SB range. In my mind, having AKvs 55 is the same as having Q9vs55

With small blind at 17bbs and us at 11bbs his range should be raising alot of hands but I'm not sure about calling off with K9. I think its fine to call or fold here to be honest.

Definitely would rather be doing the shoving with K9 than calling off.
