This is the $2K guaranteed. Blinds are 125/250
Villain is UTG+1 w/26 BBs. I am sitting in the BBs w/20 BBs, and I have-

The villain min-raises, everyone folds to me and I call. The flop comes out-

I check, the villain bets 663, and I call. The turn is -

We both check, and the river is-

What do you do here? check, check/raise, check/fold, or make a bet? How much?
The pot is at 2651.

So you think you might win with just a pair of tens here?

All I've got is a pair of tens. So what can that beat?

On this runout, you block Ace high flushes with your Ace of hearts, and given the action you're not losing to flushes here very often. Slow-played KQ is a possibility but given the action, again it is unlikely. He has either missed or is pot controlling a better hand than yours but not good enough to play a big pot.

I like to go for thin value in spots like this, but it depends on the situation. What are your reads on this player? Is he likely to call a bet with Ace high or pocket pairs 99 or lower? Given his UTG range and stack size, I would play cautiously. To be honest I would just fold ATo in this spot if he is a nit. As played, check river and if he bets, fold.

I don't have my HUD working on this computer, so I could not get any read on him.

There could be possibly a jack, 2 pairs, sets, straights, or flushes out there that could beat me.

Right, I'm saying I don't bet for value cuz I don't see what calls that I beat and I don't turn it into a bluff cuz I don't see what folds that beats me. I think it's a bluff catcher or a fold.

It's still a little early in the tournament. I never thought of it as a bluff catcher.

Villain min-raised from early pre, then followed up with a c-bet. His range is wide open. Ax, underpairs, suited connectors. You certainly might win with a pair of tens. I think you are probably ahead.

I make a bet for about 1k chips here. You will get an occasional call from a hand like 77 or 98s, if he thinks you are probably bluffing. More importantly, your bet appears to be for value, and given the stack sizes he should expect that there is a good chance you to call an all in. This will discourage him from bluffing.

A thousand would be for less than 1/2 the pot, so that would look to me like a value bet.
