top 36 places get paid, 38 players remaining, avg chipstack was approx. 20,000
hand number: 3405064318

Chip Stacks:

UTG: 6,385
UTG+1: 46,421
MP: 17,143
HJ: 19,043
CO (Hero): 21,080
BTN: 17,390
SB: 17,213
BB: 13,638

Antes: 200
SB and BB post

Hero is dealt :ks4: :qd4:

Preflop (pot: 4,600)

fold, UTG+1 calls 2000, fold, fold, Hero raises to 20,880 and is all in, fold, fold, fold, UTG+1 calls.

My logic is that after the bubble bursts, a lot of players are going to drop out, and I want to double up in order to make it deeper in the money rather than just a mincash. I hear some people say you want to be really careful in the bubble to survive, and other people say you need to be really aggressive in the bubble to take advantage of all the careful people and build up a stack.

Unless you greatly need the mincash for your roll, this shove is fine. The open limp by your opponent shows weakness and with KQ we are usually flipping when called here while still having fold equity on our shove.

Wow, basically everyone has less than 10 BBs there. Feels like most of them are quite scared of not making the bubble, so a lot of fold equity with these people for sure. And as trent says, UTG+1 limping shows weakness (could also be that he is try to trap, but with everyone trying to reach the bubble, he will usually not get a lot of action and I would be happy to just steal the pots there).
The bubble in MTTs is way overrated, so shove is fine to be able to reach deep, especially having only 10.5 BB and blinds increasing rapidly.
