PokerStars - 40000/80000 Ante 8000 NL - Holdem - 3 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BTN): 61.09 BB
SB: 25.27 BB (VPIP: 26.24, PFR: 18.41, 3Bet Preflop: 6.41, hands: 205)
BB: 61.27 BB (VPIP: 43.20, PFR: 30.88, 3Bet Preflop: 9.78, Hands: 218)

3 players post ante of 0.1 BB, SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.8 BB) Hero has K Q

Hero raises to 2 BB, SB raises to 25.17 BB and is all-in, fold, Hero calls 23.17 BB

Flop: (51.63 BB, 2 players) 7 3 9

Turn: (51.63 BB, 2 players) K

River: (51.63 BB, 2 players) 4

SB shows 3 A (One Pair, Threes)
(Pre 54%, Flop 76%, Turn 11%)
Hero shows K Q (One Pair, Kings)
(Pre 46%, Flop 24%, Turn 89%)
Hero wins 51.63 BB

Its final table of this MTT.Villain in SB in general 3bets the steal from button with 27% frequency(4/15)....2/7 from small blind and 2/8 from BB...i estimated that in his shoving range doesnt have QQ+ maybe neither Jacks as he would 3bet for value.i have 2 important blockers so i believed he has some Ace blocker(some decent hand like A2suited+,A5o+,pocket pair(44-TT) or some brodway hands..i decided to call because i think KQs against this range can have 46% equity it needed..a bity risky call definately(much safer to fold) but also to mention that it wasnt so do or die for me situation as even if i would lose the hand i would have 36bb left..what do u think guys?is it too light call?whats his range according to you and with what range u would call?..thx :)

It is almost 40% of your stack and in the most cases you have 45% equity. I would fold and wait for a better spot. If he shove with 10-15bb, I would definitely call.

Although the sample it is not big enough [3bet against open] I put a random range for your opponent and you have approx 45%+ if you called him off. He was way too active with his Ax hand here. It is a standard resteal play for me as well with but with < 20bbs with the A3 off. As you mention in your initial post you have two important blockers plus they are suited. Right call by me. Congrats for your run man!

Looks like a fold to me. While this is a close spot cEV wise, you will be lighting money on fire in terms of $EV, which is what matters 3 handed at a final table.

If we give your opponent a reshoving range of 22-TT, A2s+, A5o+, KQ+, you have 44.07% equity and need 44.8% equity to call in cEV. I cannot calculate $EV without knowing the payout structure, however if it's a -cEV call against that range then it is impossible for this to be a +$EV call against that range.

Personally, I am calling 66+ AT+ in this spot.

I think I would fold to 25bb shove, if it was less than 20bb I would call.

Fold for me. In case with an A or pair, he is the favorite here. You don't need to be involved with him with such hand. You lose 2 BB, this is ok. The guy is far more tight than the BB, so probably he is having the A or something better. I am sure the difference between the second and third spot is huge. I hope you won the tournament.

i said already to my initial post that it was too risky call,i already had it on mind when i was calling and ofc i didnt snap call..i used my time,i tried to think fast about a normal shoving range that he could have and my equity against it,and finally i press call button..thats why the reason i post hand here.. :)..i asked you guys (and i thank all of you about answers)if its too light call, because definately it is light..so yeah..i tend to agree with u that its way safer a fold here, just i had in mind that it wasnt so huge mistake a call there.
P.S1)One more reason i called lighter is because i have seen that this specific villain kinda leveling against me from start of final table..especially in one hand when we were 8 at FT..i am at BTN with 26bbs,i open with AQs,he 3bets me 3,5x from SB..i 4bet all in and he snap call me with QJo..so maybe this says something for my decision also..:D
P.S2)I made a deal at HU,taking 500$ instead of 561$ of first :)

I definetely agree with you is too risk move, but the important is that now you are conscious and in the next time you will be more careful.

PD: Nice deal IMO

I think this is close too. I think the salient point is that you'll have plenty of time to pick a better spot. Keep min betting plenty of hands. One of these two is lible to run into you soon.
