Hey. I did a poor play here, and I want to know what I could think off in the event it happens again (wich it probably will someday.)

Outcome: SB won t979,240

See I hadn't had much hands at that table yet but we were so deep in that every 3 bet is considered monster hand basically, and the player in the sb had been a little lucky with his earlier escapades at that table.
Honestly I was on my way out on the flop already, because my gut flagged instantly to his donk raise, but my brain said that the odds of him having AA right now is so low since you hold an ace, and there is an ace on board.
I was certain he had either AK, AQ, KK, QQ, AJs, maaaybe even JJ, and god forbid AA. Still decided to raise him after burning my timebank.

Ah well. I didn't 4 bet preflop because stars (I had lost enough with AK preflop-shoves already)

Anyway what do you guys do? Can you let AK go here?

It just looks like a cooler to me. I'm not sure if I liked the re-raise on the flop. You are putting him all-in there(if he folds he only has 13BB left) he wont fold. I would have played called and tried to see the turn for as cheaply as possible. AK can be such a horrible hand to have sometimes.

I think you also played with a bit too much emotion. Like you said he was getting so lucky earlier. Essentially telling yourself that there's no way he could be lucky enough to get AA. I know that feeling but when he does have it I end up kicking myself for not just playing poker and leaving emotion out of it. I completely disregard how lucky someone got early even if he had AA on the previous hand I don't completely count him out of having it again, even though the chances are just ridiculous.

In my opinion it was a cooler but if there was anything that stood out, I think it was the re-raise on the flop. I would have just called personally. I've been stung with AK a few times.
