Here's another turbo SnG situation I'm wondering about. 6 players left and I've got 10BB in the BB. Folds to the SB (the current chip leader and seems to be a solid reg: 23/24 over 43 hands that are all from this current SnG) who makes a 2.25x raise from the SB. Is this an easy shove? A quick fold?

SB: 4,352

SB posts SB 100, Hero posts BB 200

Pre Flop: (pot: 300) Hero has 5 5

fold, fold, fold, fold, SB raises to 450, what should I do?

Easy shove, any pair or Ax in HU will be always very profitable...You always will have around 50% equity vs any range hands villain...

Its a force shove because of you being short stack and some other reasons like equity, etc.

got to be a bit careful vs a reg in spots like this. typically this min-raise is one which they do to induce with monsters. However, since we don't have that info or any solid reads from what i can see i'm jamming here all day long.

It is an easy decision to get it all in here since we have a pocket pair and our stack is super short, about 10bb and we only have one raise. We have to take this chance here no matter what the chip leader has.

Only scenario where we should fold is when we see an opportunity for a pay jump like two villain all in before us or a strong 3bet before us. If there is one raise or less then get all our chips in the middle because it's time double up or bust. :D

I am push in this with minimum 25% range and 55 only for push is for me OK.
I am here with 44+ Ax, K9+, Q9s+, QJo, JTs.

You can go all in any pocket pair will do well heads up
You can fold if you want the pay jump.

He could still fold a shove because he's raising almost any2 in that spot.

55 is a hand where on a short stack nearly all of the value is preflop, your hand is strong enough to be happy to get it in without improving. You don't want to see a flop but if he calls, you're still in good shape vs. his range.

Also, when you jam he'll fold some of his worst hands that still have decent equity against you like T8 or J7 or 96, and that is a good outcome. Mostly when he calls you'll be flipping with a slight edge and that's OK in a spot like this. Plus, it will get him to think twice about attacking your blinds in the future.

what do you guys think about just calling the 250 and seeing the flop before losing more? Is that too weak of a play?

yeah, I think it's too weak. 55 is usually way ahead preflop and yet there are very very few flops that 55 likes.... with 10bb seeing a flop should not be the goal of a hand like 55. In fact, winning the blinds should be the primary objective anytime you've got a real short stack.
