Hey All

Blinds are 400/800

23 players remain of 50

No money until final table

I have about 15 blinds with 12000

I am on button with pocket fives

Hi-jack opens to 2200 and I am deciding between flat-calling and shoving

I shove for 12000

Villain calls

Board runs out A7783

Should I have just flatted and folded to any of his aggression on the flop?

You are not deep enough to justify setmining, you get bluffed off your equity on so many boards postflop, and if someone behind jam, you have to fold. So for me this is a fold or shove spot. I think, its very close, so it depend on the original raiser, and who is left behind you.

If someone has a huge stack and has shown a tendency to gamble, I probably pass on this spot. However if they have all been playing tight, and losing the pot would hurt them in a meaningfull way, then this seem like a fine spot to jam as a bluff.

You are not going to win tournaments without making moves like this, and sometimes you will get caught and bust. Its all build into the equation, and as long as it seemed like a good spot to bluff, its nothing to worry about.

I think in this situation easy push.
feisas7991уже a pre-flop ranges, playing 55 plus. ICM factor no, put all-in and earn at a distance.

with 15bb and pocket fives the move is aggressive, Maybe too aggressive.

calling for almost 20% of our stack is the worst Option.
so I would push/fold depending on how wide HJ is Opening and the chances that he calls (we don't want him to call though).

Thanks everyone!

Villain did raise earlier as well and fold to my shive, he sniffed out my oockey aces for a variety of rrasons

This hand villain had a9o and spiked an ace on flop heh

Then told me he was glad I shoved cause he got max value vs if I just called

I was thinking whose just calling?? Lololok

its a jam or a fold. definitely no flatting. I lean towards a jam but if he is very tight you could maybe fold 55. I would definitely jam 66-KK and i might flat exactly AA
