Just wanted to run these 3 hands by a few of you, see if you guys may be able to give me some pointers about how i played these hands, and what i could have done diffefently - if there was such a thing i couldve done different.

Anyhow, playing a small live mtt, $20 buy in and i end up with aces 3 times and lose all 3 hands. Dont think there was much i could do but thats why i am posting these here :)

First hand happens very early in the 2nd level, blinds are 20 / 40
Hero is UTG +2 and raises to 110 with AcAh
Villan1 Cutoff flats
Sb villan flats
Bb villan flats

Flop comes 3d5d7d
Sb checks - BB leads for 300

I know the player, he's generally pretty nitty - so no diamond, i make the fold - not sure there was much else could be done here.

Hand does get to showdown and sure enuff the BB flatted with 10d8d and flopped the flush.

--------

Hand two is a little while later, i have roughly 3400 in chips and goes as follows: blinds are 50/100

Action folds to Villan MP - raises to 250. I know the player, he is fairly TAG but can get loose at times and he has around 4k - 4500 to start the hand.

Folds to Hero in HJ with AcAs - 3 bets to 650

Action folds back to Villan calls 400

Flop is Qs7hJc

Villan checks - Hero bets 550, villan calls. Turn is the 9c

Villan checks - Hero checks

River comes 4d and Villan bets 700

This really feels like i am beat in this spot. This player knows how i play and what my holdings could be, but i am getting such good odds to call. He bets 700 into a pot of 2550, giving me around about 4.5 : 1 on a call. The only hands i am really worried about here are JJ, K-10 and QJ, but not sure he could call a 3bet with either of those two as i said he's generally pretty TAG, so im thinking maybe AQ or KQs are the more likely hands he is in there with and thinking perhaps i 3bet TT or AK because i would certainly do such a thing...anyways, i tank for a few minutes annnnd...

Hero calls 700 - villan shows QJ off...
And we lose this pot too leaving us with just at 1500 left.

We find a little luck with AJs and pocket 66's and before too long we are back over 3k

------------

The third hand in goes as follows blinds are 600 / 1200 with an ante
Starting stack is now very short at 7800.

UTG villan raises 2800

Folds to Hero MP 1 - goes all in 7800 with AhAs

Cutoff calls - UTG calls.

Flop is Kc6s7d - UTG checks, CO jams - utg folds

CO shows K9 of spades - turn is 9d, river is 5c

Again, i had it all in here, dont think there was anything else i couldve done here other than ship it with the best hand but thought i would share that last hand anyhow...aces were my demise last night, never ran bad enough to lose with em 3 times in the same tournament lol thats the game though.

Most of these players were rec players anyhow, just wasnt my night to make it to the money.

Thanks for taking the time to read, i look forward to any oppinions on these hands.

Great fold on the first hand. Nice to have that read handy

Just unlucky. You are about 75/25 favorites on all three and there’s a 1.5% chance of losing all three. Just not your day

In the first hand you make a good fold. You know your customer and think he has a better hand than you and you make the fold. If you had the Ace of diamonds you could call the flop to look to improve but without the Ace of diamonds you can fold.

In the second hand that's a tough spot. Calling a 3bet OOP with QJo does not seem great, but in this case it worked out for your opponent. I would probably also call the river with AA and the price is so cheap.

In the third hand there is obviously nothing you can do about the runout. AA will lose about 18% of the time against a random hand and this was just one of those times.

It sounds like you played pretty solid and can beat that game. Good luck in the future.

I appreciate the insights i have gotten so far. Seems like lots of folks here are very helpful and like to respond to most posts. Anyhow, i like to think i made the correct choices - good to hear that reinforced.

The 3rd hand i feel there is no other way to do it i have no idea who could ever fold in that spot lol. I agree in the first hand also if i had the A of diamonds that even tho the price is high i peel one off just to see what happens on the turn and reevaluate my situation.

Keep anymore responses or insights coming guys, i dont mind learning :)
