Before starting, I am mainly a cash player who has just recently started playing tournaments. That said, this the reason you don't want to just play and play cheap pots. SB called 1.5BB to win 7BB, *BB if he figures BB for a call. That's pretty much any two cards. If I hit a pair on the flop in the SB I'd check, looking to check raise. Of course if I were Hero I'd raise the flop to thin the field, especially with a relatively wet board and 5 players.

As played I would have raised larger on the turn, say 7 or 8 BB. As played when SB just calls you have to wonder what she has that a K on the river would spur her to push. QT? and not much else KK would have bet before now. A board card with a K. Most likely, IMHO.

I have to call. Hero has two pair and QT or trips don't look all that likely.

Unless I am mistaken, you are the BB here? In that case, it is fine to either call pre flop, or re-raise to round 7-8BB. A lot of people just called 2BB and wanted to see the flop cheap, there is definitely room for a bit of a squeeze play. As played, raise on that flop. If you check and others check, you give them a free card, and there are so many cards you will not like on the turn. Any spade, any card that completes a straight like 5,7,T,K. As played, it is probably a call, SB can shove like that with a busted flush draw, as well as a busted straight draw like 87, turning his hand into a bluff. I would say that only hands that villain can have that beat you are QT and 22, but is less likely someone would just call with 22 on that turn.

I was thinking he might have had Q10 or maybe AK except he didn't raise preflop so Idk I had no info on the guy so wasn't sure.

So it was a mistake not to raise the flop....and yeah I was in the BB.

I ended up folding which was probably a mistake in hindsight now. Even if he had the 10Q then maybe it was a call.

Thanks guys, appreciate it.

With that many callers I would've considered folding preflop. Yeah it's only 1 BB but getting into a 5-way pot in a tournament with KJ can be troublesome. As others have said trying to thin the field pre and/or post flop would've been a good idea. I would almost never fold two pair against an unknown opponent, but that's just me.
