9 players post ante of 0.1 BB, SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 2.4 BB) Hero has A:diamond: T:diamond:

fold, fold, MP raises to 2 BB, fold, fold, fold, BTN calls 2 BB, fold, Hero calls 1 BB

Flop: (7.4 BB, 3 players) 4:spade: A:spade: 2:heart:
Hero checks, MP bets 5.55 BB, fold, Hero raises to 18.29 BB and is all-in, fold

Hero wins 18.5 BB

Do you check raise to protect top pair against potential flush draws or do you check call to get more value from any weak holdings that he might barrel with?

Shoving at this SPR if you feel V bets worse Ax and FDs to this sizing. Villain rarely ever barrels a blank turn with air.

Firstly, I'm still a beginner, take everything I say with a grain of salt, I just want to give my opinion and if I'm mistaken, please correct me so I can learn too.

CO seems loose according to your stats and even though 20 BBs is not a small size, it isn't a good one also. I'd probably shove pre-flop because you have a nice fold equity and if you miss the flop (70% of the time) I'm pretty sure you'll be quite uncomfortable getting your chips in even with a flushdraw.

if you follow the call line, your check-shove on the flop looks great to me.

i dont think he has much worse Ax because of his tight PFR range. but i think he does this with FDs, Pocket pairs and better Ax.

pocket pairs and better Ax probably make up an even portion of his range but i think the optimal line against flushdraws is what will tip the scales one way or the other.

I think you are looking at the wrong stats. MP raised pre, not CO. if it were CO I would totally agree with your analysis, id probably shove pre against CO. but MPs PFR range is one id rather see a flop against with this hand and stack depth and play postflop.

You are right, for some reason I thought CO betted and BTN called, sorry for that.
