Seat 2: DrySpe11 (3615).
Seat 3: PKRNRS (992).
Seat 4: button tahoeden44 (2421).
Seat 5: ogii3 (1972).
Seat 6: LIONKING_KG (2005).
Seat 8: oriolelv (1950).
Seat 9: LOVESVEGAS (2060).

Player ogii3 has small blind (20)
Player LIONKING_KG has big blind (40)

Player PKRNRS received card: [Ad][As]

Player PKRNRS raises (120)
Player tahoeden44 folds
Player ogii3 calls (100)
Player LIONKING_KG calls (80)
Pot is (320)
So, I haven't recovered from my earlier mistake but now I have a real hand and can recover if I get some action. I raised 3x but now the BB is getting 3 to 1 and comes along.

*** FLOP ***: [6d] [Js] [8c]
Player ogii3 checks
Player LIONKING_KG checks
Player PKRNRS bets (240)
Player ogii3 calls (240)
Player LIONKING_KG calls (240)
Pot is 1040
I feel this is a good flop, nothing wrong with it but my c-bet is called. I bet 2/3 pot and wanted one call but not two.

*** TURN ***: [6d] [Js] [8c] [7s]
Player ogii3 checks
Player LIONKING_KG checks
Player PKRNRS allin (632)
Player ogii3 folds
Player LIONKING_KG calls (632)
*** RIVER ***: [6d] [Js] [8c] [7s] [5c]

I know going into this hand I will be pot committed. In hindsight the villain had ~2.5 on his money to hit with 10 outs. Anywho, puff and I'm out.

Raise more preflop. Shove postflop.

Nothing wrong with as played. Alternatively you could play it other ways you could have also raised more preflop jam flop or even shove preflop you got only 25 BB to start hand.

You can get value with jamming pre flop if play loads of hands and play them aggressively. No one will ever think you are shoving with AA there they more likely put you on JJ & AK.

I would raise to 150 pre flop and shove on flop. 240 bet on flop is nothing compared to pot.

in a higher stakes game 3x is too big for your stack size. you should bade your raise sizes on stack size and position, and never base your raise size on the strength of your hand. however at the two dollar level you can clearly get away with 3x and exploit the fact that they arent paying attention to sizing tells. at higher stakes I would not open that large. generally I open 3x with more than 50bb, with 30 to 49bb i open to 2.5bb and with less than 30bb open to 2bb. sometimes I size it a tiny bit larger if Im in an early position.

other than that, I play the same way. villain is bad, you got coolered. thats poker, GG

aa gone

Personally I never trust aces and would have raised all-in preflop. With the blind so small and being short stacked, I would push all day long with that.

Is this a post asking for analysis on the hand? It sounds like this is a bad beat post which belongs in the "Brags, Beats and Challenges" section of the forum.

Not a bad beat post. I don't complain about "bad beats" just wanted some opinions on my game.
