Interested in hearing some thoughts and ideas on how people approach this spot

Im coming to the conclusion that there is no reason to bet this flop, Im only folding worse hands except for some stray Ax hands. I understand my hand is very vulnerable and if I cant take the hand down, I feel like this hand goes into check call mode. and even check/fold mode if the board get worse and worse. Other problems, if the turn card is a high card, I have no reason to bluff that card since I have equity in the hand. and chances are those cards would help villan anyways

I feel dirty folding in spots like this leading flop and check/folding turn. Maybe this hand should go into check flop - Call turn - call river

I guess if I bet flop I also need to bet turn as I just opened myself up once i checked turn. 3/4 pot just seems to big to call on the turn.

Anyways just curious how people approach spots like this - the table is deep enough to open this spot (except for the BTN SB BB, the people most likely to be in the hand LOL) Plus I can rep better hands if the flop is not good for me.

SB: 15.87 BB
BB: 14.28 BB
Hero (UTG): 70.15 BB
UTG+1: 51.61 BB
MP: 48.77 BB (
MP+1: 55.45 BB
CO: 48.35 BB
BTN: 14.57 BB

8 players post ante of 0 BB, SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 2.3 BB) Hero has 6 6

Hero raises to 2 BB, fold, fold, fold, CO calls 2 BB, fold, fold, BB calls 1 BB

Flop: (7.3 BB, 3 players) 7 5 5
BB checks, Hero bets 2.83 BB, CO calls 2.83 BB, fold

Turn: (12.97 BB, 2 players) 9
Hero checks, CO bets 9.73 BB, fold

CO wins 12.97 BB

I put this into flopzilla with a normal calling CO calling range taking out the bigs as those would probably be ISO'd pre. Then I left what I thought villan would continue on the flop with. I just cant see X/R and stuff like that as Im only folding out worse and thats not what we want to do, and what better can we fold out, I dont see it

Like i said just curious on approaches people take here.

This might be a bad example as I didnt take in account the gutshot I had

Also thinking that once villan bets this big on the turn, that we are now playing for stacks, as I would never just call a bet that big. . he goes 9bb - I RR 22-25bb (or just shove since pot is big now) and if he didnt shove over, it would all go in on the river.

Thats why I folded on the turn

But im going to look thru my database for non paired boards as the paired board really cuts down a lot of stuff

When you bet the flop and the chek on the turn, you will be vulnerable on the turn / river to any bets. The UTG range being strong, probably should have given 2 barrel on the turn.

I agree I needed to bet turn, I had planned to just call down until the 3/4 bet so with betting the turn I can also pot control instead of facing bets like this

Yup, or can chk/c vs most sizings and fold to stuff like this.

Either is good.

Hand looks well played.
