Well, i fully understand it was kind of overplay of AKo mathematically seen. But considering that few information on that guy i have already seen, i decided that he is just trying to bully me like he did with the others before. So it was kind of re-steal move by me, which turned into coin flip at the end. And i was pretty card dead last 50 minutes or so. And i decided it's time to get that pot or gamble to double up, otherwise i get some bucks more, but no chance to reach the final table, where the most money are. So what are your thoughts about this decision?

I think this is ok, but I've lost many times on AK when I call all-in, in my opinion best option is call his re-raise and see the flop not shove all-in on pre-flop!!

Opener smaller pre (2-2.3x)

U can't possibly consider flatting AK this deep or folding, let alone against a very active player.

if your read on him is that he is a bully, then you did the right thing. if you don't play this, what are you waiting for? any hand can win and any hand can be cracked as we all know. If he was a very tight player, then you would put him on high pocket pair and then maybe just flat call and see the flop.

Seems like a standard hand. Nothing else you can do. Folding is such a bad play even if you were a lot deeper.

AK is worth all your chips at 24bb, and you read him as aggro. Flatting here is a bad move because your OOP and if you miss, he will get you off the pot. Your only going to hit the flop 1/3 of the time, but unless he has AA or KK, witch you block, you have about 45ish% equity against smaller pairs if you get to see the river, and you dominate everything else in his range. Couple that with the folds you will find and this is a profitable play. If he has you beat or draws out of n you than that's just poker. Deeper stacked I might find a fold here but at 24 bb I don't ever fold this spot. If you flat you down to 17 BB, but if you push and he folds you up to 32. I think you played it fine. I also don't mind the 3x here because you definitely don't want a multiway pot w/ AKo and only 21 BB behind. The implied odds just aren't there.
