Blinds 250/500 ante 50, 9 handed.
I'm button 12.7k
UTG raises to 1250, utg+1 calls along with 2 more mps.
Ah Qh I chose to shove.
Called by second mp with 44 and bricked.

I am not going to call, i am going squeeze AI or fold preflop, depends on villains, especially UTG. imo

In vacuum i am folding mostly.

Desicion depends on dynamics also.

I don't hate any decision here preflop. Around 25 BBs which is an awkward stack size. Shoving or folding makes sense with so many in the pot, but calling isn't too bad since we are in position.

I think the only truly incorrect move is a small raise or a call. Shove or fold is probably cool but I lean more toward shove

shoving is a good play, nothing wrong. You can also opt to fold, no shame and lose no chips

I think your play is fine. It just didn't work out for you that time.

It's a tougher spot than people are giving it credit for, obviously playing with some loose villains, calling stacks with 44. I imagine that 3 betting here will bring 2 callers at least. I'm fine with taking a flop here and trying to hit something nutted to get stacks in with. I would not jam here. You could try 3 betting and losing some of the callers, but are you calling a jam? Depending on a lot of stuff, I'm probably not trying to get all in with AQs here possibly against multiple callers. I think there are people that will call it a misplay and say not to be results oriented, but I'm taking a flop here and reevaluating. Surviving to the money and adding to my bankroll is the most important thing to me.

I don't like the shove with 4 players already having invested chips in the pot, there usually will be at least one that will look you up with their hand and you are very rarely dominating in those spots and at best usually just flipping, I prefer to be doing the jamming play vs 2 players max that have entered the pot.

in this situation i'd probably lean towards calling here since you're on the button and looking for a favourable flop to play in position on.

This happened to me too way more then once. I see someone raising pre flop, and several people who just call. I end up on late position or on the blinds with a very good hand like AQs AKo AKs. Since the stacks are never that big, there is no point in just re-raising with quarter or third of the stack. so I shove. Always get called by a small pocket pair.
Reason I shove is that I believe that if anyone had a hand good enough to shove or call a shove would do that themselves and not risk a family pot. So I want to punish calling with wide ranges by squeezing with hands as strong as once mentioned above.
Considering how many times I got called by small pocket pairs and had to coin flip, I am starting to change that play into just calling, and taking it from there.
However, in case I am the shortstack, I am still shoving.
