I am not sure if I played correctly in this spot. Should I fold KK preflop, since it is a 1-up SNG tourney, and there is a short stack with 2bb behind me and 1 left in money?

well I have to say this is why using good bankroll management is important. U have to call and see the flop at least with KK unless you don't need the chips that bad.. the old risk vrs reward situation. But yeah the A on flop is a huge scare card. Fold to that flop

If I call my KK and the bb decides to raise, what would you do?

Shove and hope to steal the blinds and then you'll be likely to make it in the money, if you fold it and short stack doubles up then you are the short stack.

That's a clear shove to me here. I'm just puzzled why Villain calls with that garbage 😐
A rag wins almost one out of 3 times so don't be that surprised.

A better debate would be what range do we shove here? I'd go QQ+.

I think that's still a bit too tight, but its tough because this stack set up really sucks. We're pretty vulnerable, but it's also so bad to get into an all in situation before the shorty here. There's room to shove a little wider although it would largely depend on who I was playing and the game flow up until that point.

with 5 BB and KK in hand, preflop all in was the best move and is most likely to get called from BB with Ace high. You had him preflop.

I got your point based on the hand strength and bb, it would be an easy shove. However, I do not know it is worthed to risk all ur stacks since 1 left in money and one short stack behind you with 2bb.

well the stack difference is not much in this case. it is not reliable lead. you had a big chance to double up and find your way to final table. worth it.

The tournament structure is 1-up, which means 4 remaining players can double up their money or nothing. what about now? still shove?

I didn't see the SNG. sorry! But I still recommend to shove.

Well played IMO you have a so strong hand and the difference between you and the short-stack is little.

I agree with jwlaw35 the bankroll managment is very important so with a good one, you will dont make this kind of questions for sure.
Regards!
