$100 NLHE MTT Deep Stacked: AQo 27 BB Villian Moves Allin..

Hero 27 BB on the BB with AQo
Villian Open to 2.5 BB on the Cutooff nearly 180BB
SB calls
Hero 3 Bets 10 BB
Villan goes Allin
Hero Calls
Villian Ak

What is the mistake done by me in this hand?

3B smaller or just shove. 3Bing to 10bb commits you to call a 4B shove, so your sizing here should be 7.5bb (gives you room to 3B/fold to a 4B jam) and call off if either player shoves, or just shove here yourself.

You're probably too deep to open shove however this hand is incredibly villain dependent. Against someone who is stacking off light then yea its a 3bet->call. If the guy is a nit you should probably just flat pre because by 3betting him with aq you're basically turning it into a bluff. Very villain dependent.

The Villan was the chip leader and was opening many hands from late position.
Effective stacks were 27.5BB
Hence,I value 3-bet.
What are your opinions now?

Maybe ur 3-bet shove isnt enough to fold villan with AK on this hand, he is too deep, but with your raise 10BB, if he shoves u have to call, but dominated

Why not 3 piece to a smaller sizing? Was It because you were OOP? In either case, V had (180BBs) vs your (27.5bbs), I mean, their never folding (Unless It's pure air). Yet as pointed out It really would depend on the Villain. I mean just because someone Is the C.L doesn't mean that they know exactly what to do with all that stack, and/or how to act. Some tighten up, while others let loose. Really depends on this player, and the reads that you had at the time.

For what It's worth, I'd prolly 3bet to like 6.25 (At max), and than decide from their, yet with making It to such a sizing, you committed yourself Into calling It off and/or bleeding chips, had you decided to fold.

Also how close were you all to ITM?

I was Oop that's why I sized it up.
