I had 7 BB UTG and it is a double up or nothing. 5 player remaining and 4 player doubles up. I shoved A3s UTG. SB wakes up with KK and calls.
Is this a correct shove?

NL Holdem $-150(BB)
BTN ($5928)
SB ($1150)
BB ($2237)
HERO ($1015)
CO ($1670)

Dealt to Hero A:spade: 3:spade:

HERO $1015 (allin) (Rem. Stack: 0), CO Folds, BTN Folds, SB $1075 (allin) (Rem. Stack: 0), BB Folds

Flop ($2315) 2:spade: 5:spade: J:diamond:

Turn ($2315) 2:spade: 5:spade: J:diamond: 2:heart:

River ($2315) 2:spade: 5:spade: J:diamond: 2:heart: Q:heart:

SB shows K:spade: K:club:

SB wins $2315

Ran the #s in ICMizer and assumed everyone calls off with 88+ AQ+.

A3s is a fold, and you should be pushing 99+ AJs+ AQo+ KQs+ here.

Okay. Thanks for the input. That's totally different with what I knew. I guess I was pushing waaaaay too wide.

You are shoving too wide for UTG. I played these one ups on BOL. Players do not have a good grasp of ICM. They will call you with almost any A and you will be dominated by their range.

While this would be correct with no ICM considerations, shoving any Ace here on the stone bubble of a DoN where the top4 all get the same payout would be lighting money on fire.

First my thought was: with 7BB and A3s i would do the same thing, as you did. But to make sure that i'm not mistaken about this i did simulated your situation at ICM Trainer software and that is what it showed:

So as you can see A3s is in push range, so you did it mathematically right.
But have to admit, without information to your opponents is very tricky to say for sure if it's 100% shove. Simply because some people are more tending to gamble, than others.

It's a tough spot, in this case the button is so stacked he could call you off with any 2 and he would still be in great shape even if he lost. I think folding is better here and wait for a better hand or somebody else to make a mistake
