SO DEEP IN TOURNEY,(6 HANDED)
blinds are 600/1200 120
fold fold,
villian(149bb) opens 2.5x from btn.
hero with 66(15bb) on sb?
BB(80bb)
the small read i have on villian is that he has been involved in 2 3 hands so far and it was kk and QQ and one time he raise folded to a shove from ep!
i thought that this is a perfect shoving spot and btn is opening wide to steal!
SO HERO shoves and btn calls with KK!
what should be the best play here?

with your stack its push. as you mentioned villain can raise fold. to be profitable you must win 44% and you only behind vs 66+.

Isn't 15 BB stack not too short?
Shouldnt we wait for better spots?

It`s short. M=7.
I`d think about wait for better spots if there is a shorter stack at table(tourney) and diff among prizes is big enough(how deep we in tourney?)

No, if you are waiting for better spots with 15BB then you will bleed dry. Too often, players don't shove wide enough with 15BBs, wait until they are bled down to 6-9BB, and then they decide to shove too wide when they have little to no fold equity. This was the right play, as Villain will often fold or call and we will be ahead/flipping. It's just unlucky that this time he was holding KK.

Really easy jam, you just got unlucky to run into a hand.

I agree easy shove unless it was a satty and there were many shorter stacks. 20 away from the money isn't very close to the bubble. There would have to be many shorter stacks and the cash mean more than it should for me to do anything other than shove here.
