Cooler.

Nothing much to do about those except move to next one.

First of all i want to ask you to post so much information next time about players been involved in reviewing hand as much as you have noticed. As it differs way of thinking dramatically and helps to give more precise tips on how to play a hand. Most important infos are, who was loose, who was tight, how many steals and how many hands you played with them about. Are there been any 3bets or even 4bets from them?
But as we are play here in a dark, my thoughts about this hand:
Pre-Flop: i would re-raise here instead of cold calling. Something like 1600 would work. 1st reason is that we have pretty solid pair hand and a min-raise from CO doesn't show real strength. (Exception is if that player was a real helpless ubernit, which we don't know here as we have no info.) 2nd reason is that we are in the worst position at SB at every street post-flop and we would love to take it down right now, because 88 is a really good hand, but still very vulnerable postflop, as so many hands can hit something that beats us. At least we would like to takeover initiative of aggressor and being able to cont. bet even if some overcards are coming at flop. 3rd reason is that we hate it to see 2 villains in a hand against us for sure. So re-raise is better than cold call in my opinion here.
Flop: Looks like the good and the bad news at the same time. Good news is that we have a pair and paired flop is mostly good for us, but bad news, that we have 2 villains against us and it's pretty much likely there is at least a Queen in a hand at least of one of them. That's why it was important to isolate pre-flop. So we would have easier game after. But it's still possible that we are way ahead on such flop, because it's paired and nobody really showed a strength pre-flop, so ranges are pretty wide. Maybe we get lucky and nobody has a Queen. So i would choose here donkbet, but not too few and not too big, to keep risks low in case someone has it. Something like 600 would work it. But check.. i don't like it.
The Turn card is pretty much cooler card indeed and i do pretty much like how cautious you played it. I bet you had a bad feeling and you was right. Many players (including me, depends on mood ^^) would go broke there, as there are not really much hands, which are beating us. But there are.. and you felt these and you paid a minimum to the lucky hand.
But overall look at this hand with other position. Would you 3bet the guy from CO with KQo, probably he would fold Pre-Flop and you takedown small pot instead of loosing a bigger one with a cooler, as you actually had the best hand there at the beginning. Second you would have easier pre-flop with just one villain. Third if you would bet at flop, you could faster and cheaper realize, you are behind.
Just my 2 cents. Hope it helps.
Good luck at your games and post some more hands. ;)

A 3bet preflop could have worked to a CO min open, other than that I think you did well to flat the raise on the river. Not much you could have done otherwise.
