PokerStars - €0.90+€0.10|60/120 Ante 15 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

UTG: 10.29 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, hands: 13)
CO: 65.33 BB (VPIP: 30.77, PFR: 7.69, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 13)
BTN: 85.36 BB (VPIP: 23.53, PFR: 5.88, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 17)
SB: 70.05 BB (VPIP: 46.15, PFR: 30.77, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 13)
Hero (BB): 118.77 BB

5 players post ante of 0.13 BB, SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 2.13 BB) Hero has T:heart: 9:diamond:

fold, CO calls 1 BB, fold, SB calls 0.5 BB, Hero checks

Flop: (3.63 BB, 3 players) 9:spade: T:spade: 3:club:
SB checks, Hero bets 2.41 BB, CO raises to 64.21 BB and is all-in, fold, Hero calls 61.8 BB

At this point I figured the only potential hand that could beat me on that flop was 3s, if he were holding pocket 10s or 9s he would've definitely raised, and with me holding a blocker I figured I was favourite to win 2/3 times.

Would you have called in the same situation?

Turn: (132.04 BB, 2 players) K:diamond:

River: (132.04 BB, 2 players) A:heart:

Hero shows T:heart: 9:diamond: (Two Pair, Tens and Nines)
(Pre 18%, Flop 75%, Turn 82%)
CO shows A:club: A:diamond: (Three of a Kind, Aces)
(Pre 82%, Flop 25%, Turn 18%)
CO wins 132.04 BB

Calling so fast. We're likely up against a bigger T or a draw and I doubt villain spazzes 33/99/TT here.

With Trent here, snap call and be very happy that he has played the hand so bad pre to let you in then post to give you such a damn good spot... you can't be scared of 33 there are usually they are going to play it slower to build the pot. most likely hands are slow played QQ-AA pre... TX and draws/combo draws. That range you are crushing.

I'd most definitely just fold. The pot is just too small and not worth fighting over. You don't have the stones as well, so another reason to fold.

Uh, this is some pretty awful analysis. The pot is just around 70 big blinds (130 if we call, which is nowhere near "small") and our opponent pretty much never has us beat here when he makes this deep of a shove.

Whether you have the "stones" is completely irrelevant, what matters is whether or not you have the statistical advantage here against your opponent's range, which T9 very well does here.

He played the hand really bad but your moves were fine. he just got lucky to hit one of 5 outs he had to make a wining hand which gives him a 20% chance on flop. When he shoves, it means that he doesn't want you to call so trips are out of his range.
