trent32la ??????? (I have 21,200 chips behind, or about 18bbs)

I am currently 6th in chips out of 23 players left, 12 getting an $11 ticket, 13th getting $3. Villains stats are VPIP 40% and PFR 40% over 15 hands.
I min raise TT 7-handed from UTG+1, the SB insta-jams on me, is this a call or fold?
Cheers.

You already know I'm no expert, but I'll give my comment. :D

That's a wide VPIP 40% range, but I feel like I would need more information about the shover. Is the shover a maniac? Is this a first time shove to a min raise UTG?

You could probably fold and hope to find a better spot to call a shove since villain has you covered with a deep stack. You could be flipping with AJs, AQ, AK, JJ+ , KQs, KJs even JQs etc.

Fold & take note of the SB shove into your UTG+1 min raise?
---
I would have to know how often they shove though. If they are shoving constantly then you gotta widen their respected shove range.

TT very strong hand and no fold here , against range villain we have around 60% exactly. If prior to tickets were 3-4 places we can find fold....

This is really a tough spot,23 players still a lot and you only on 6th where 12 got paid.Anyways based on villain stats,i suggest a call also.

Nice to see a mix of replies here :) All valid points. Definitely agree with Sil3ntness > because this is a Sattellite and I only need to last through 12 more busts, unless my opponent has 22-99 I am not wanting to take a flip in this spot. If this was a normal MTT I would have called in an instant.
The Result > My first reaction was fold, however I glanced over at my HUD and ended up tank calling my TT with a sigh. My opponent to my surprise showed up with AA and I was out. I am guessing I just rammed into the top of villains range, as I would expect villain to be much wider here.

Is it a cooler , here no fold because mostly will be more 60% equity , range shove villain 66+ A8s+ ATo+ KJs+ QTs+ QJo .. Therefore, this is the correct game...

If we change the situation, and we know villain tight , also easy call we have around 45%.. Because with the size of the stack TT strong hand and for bubble still far..

I agree this is a tough spot, but the 2 big deciding factors that no one has emphasized yet is the fact that the blind structure is turbo (5 min per level?) and you only have 18BB left. I know you are in 6th place so relatively speaking you have more BB than most people, but you will most likely need at least one more double up before you make it to the money.

If, per say, you had 30+ BB OR the blind structure wasn't as harsh (10 min+), I would seriously consider a fold here. but, as it is you are fighting against the blinds. If you do choose to fold here, with 11 more people still needed to bust (a deceptively large amount of people when considering these payouts), you might not get another hand worthy of pushing until the blinds/antes run you down below 10 BB (my personal "red zone").

Factoring in his vpip/pfr, a call here makes even more sense because he is opening wide it seems (even though 15 hands is obviously not ideal to judge a player on).

So, to summarize - everything considered I think this is a really good spot for you to go all-in, and it is unfortunate that you ran into the high end of his shoving range. The simple fact of the matter is that a lot of these satellite turbos end up being a pre-flop all-in fun fest when it gets close to the money, because at this point everyone has very few blinds. Ideally, you want to be one of the top 3 or 4 stacks that can just coast to the money since the payout is the same. This is why I personally don't like turbos, because the likelihood that you will be forced to flip for a double up just to stay ahead of the blinds is very high from my experience.
