OK, I am defending my BB- remaining stack 8BBs . Cut-off player Limps, tables just combined so I do not have any hands against Villain. V- 15 BBs, he limps, it folds to me....

I guess, it's not really a surprise, even though I covered Villains cards. You can tell when he shoved over my river bet. His flush hit.
My thoughts were, I wanted to keep him in the hand to extract the most value. Is that thinking like a cash game player?? Should I have just shoved the turn? Please share your thoughts and ideas. I am getting better at tournament play!!

IMHO - With an M<10 I'd be shoving atc over this CO limp preflop but definitely I'd be shoving this ragged flop no matter what I had.

You should lead flop for around 35%.

You have the best hand a lot but are vulnerable.

As played you have to go broke due to how short you are.

If you are not going to shove all in pre flop, lead the flop. It is difficult to make a pair in hold 'em. As short as you are, you are lookin to get your chips in. Middle pair on that board is a good spot
