The following is a typical hand I have some trouble with from time to time.
I know that for the most part, my shove with 16BB is not optimal, I know I should be doing this with <=10BB, but if you play micros, you know this is what has to be done because most will be behind if they call you or your flipping.

I would like your input, thanks.

You're short stacked at what seems to be a pretty deep table, you need to make a move to get a stack back. I think it's a good shove. Even in micros you will often get the shove through and pick up a 20% chip up with no flop. Not as often as higher levels, but it's not rare enough for you to fold JJ on 16BB. Good play I'd say.

JJ on 16BBs is a good shove IMO.

I like to start looking for a DU when we get below 20BBs. The only reason I would be folding here is if the UTG was a tight player that only plays KK+. We don't have enough hands on UTG but he could be a lag type of player, so on that basis I am very happy 3bet shoving on his UTG OR.

It's an easy shove with 16BB, you'll get called more often because it's a bounty tournament but you'll be ahead or flipping most of the time.

No.

An optimal reshoving stack is 5-25bb. An optimal open shoving stack is 0-15bb and you can even open shove 15-20bb in some spots.

This spot is an easy reshove with JJ and I'd probably reshove anything under 22bbs here.

Thanks for the response and advice everyone.

What is the lowest possible pair we're doing this in the same situation?

Your stack is pretty good to go all in with JJ. You are far behind the other guys on the table. I never liked JJ, but in that position you did it pretty well.

Man in my vision has no mistake in your hand.
You're 16BB and it's a Bounty you're going to take so many worse calls, I'd play exactly the same.
If you've more than 20/25BB you can play 3bet, but with this stack you do the right think.

I prefer to 3bet allin with JJ in these low stake tournaments because there are many scare cards that could hit the flop. Plus playing it cheap lets other players with worse hands in the pot and most of them will slow play with a 2 pair, set etc..
I like the 3bet shove. Pocket Jacks are one of my least favorite pocket pairs, they can be tough to play in certain situations.

Totally shove hand. The new thought is to shove ~15 to 20 big blinds and not wait till your 10 BB short.

Kinda thought so, had been noticing the 15-20BB shove alot and figured, why not.
Also had noticed if you wait until 10BB to shove, it won't have an huge impact on alot of stacks and those stacks will call a 10BB shove with Axs+, where as a 15-20BB push would chase some of those same hands out preflop.

Deep stack villaine can open UTG pretty wide range, i mean wider range than usually. imo

So i think your cowboys stands against that range pretty well. imo

you should be shoving most pocket pairs from MP with 16bb. at least 99+

look up Jennifear's push/fold chart
