I don't use a HUD, so no stats. He didn't play many pots before this.

Please put this opponent on on a range before seeing the showdown.

What do you guys think? I personally put him on an overpair / Broadway spades. So 77, 66 and maaaybe A7s would beat me. 88 or 55 would be unlikely here considering I block them. Honestly thought I would be good here, regardless of the river raise.

Did I not get the pot odds to call the raise, or should I have let go of my 2 pair regardless?

Looking for some input here.

Just a cooler, I guess you could ask yourself what hands would raise me on the river that I beat. I also find out in low buy in games, that this is never a bluff. In high buy in games thats a different story. But not too many low rollers can pull bluff raises on the river, I mean **** man they have 1.10 invested here LOL. I not sure whats better here on the river Bet/fold or Check/Call but notice there is no bet/call LOL

I would also have put him on 87s, but as you said you are blocking that. I think you played that hand correctly, you just get hit by variance and by a guy raising with a really weak hand.

I don't really know the level of the players you are playing against, but if they are not really good players, betting the flop, checking the turn and raising the river often means they got something on the river, so if I tough the guy was not a good player, I would have folded on the river.

Raising with 64s from MP1, seems like a really bad play to me ...

How deep in the tournament were you ?

Thanks for the reply, it makes a bit more sense I should have folded now. Just sucks, bleh.

About 600-700 left out of 2300. Bubble at 440.

I think hero are defending BB too wide range overall being fairly deep stacked (safe zone) in a tournament. Well odds justify the preflop call but once again you increase of chance to drawing dead or even worse getting showdown second best nuts where you have to make crying showdown and hope the best (i expect hero is never willing to fold made weak nuts hand.imo). I mean 58s is a garbage hand and being OP it is really hard to play overall. imo. I mean you do not know is your made flush or straight is the best or is it second best. imo

Well hero decided to call on preflop (odds are good, i understand but i do not like it).
flop is ok. (as played), i would play the same way most of time. imo
But i would bet/fold turn vs unknown (as played). imo

But when hero still somehow reached to the river, i think it is not wise value bet, since what hands will call you in villain range or raise you at that point? I mean hero could make protection bet and fold any agression or check/x based on villains decision and possible bet sizing. imo

But going to b/c on river is huge leak on your game. You just lose 21/38 more than half your chips speculative showdown rather than narrowing your preflop defence range on BB. imo

Pre flop is an easy defend, good there.

Flop:I either lead flop for 50% to 75% or i check-raise, depending on opponent. If we do check-raise should be to around 5500. (80% pot)

Turn: Lead for around 50% pot.

River: Check/fold, or if we do lead, lead for like 20% pot.

Bet-calling is really bad as we only beat bluffs, and people wont bluff here.

Hand difficult, this board fits well with the range of BB, so in micros limits, this super increase in the river has value.
