i am really confused what i should do in this hand.I dont like at all shoving 81bbs,but 3-bet heavy something around 3.5k chips which is almost 20% of my stack against one raiser and 4 callers and play hand out of position at flop isnt something i like also..take also into account thats a bounty MTT..i want your opinion guys :)

I think that it would be better to 3bet to ~9 BB instead of shoving, because then if you get 4bet shove or 4bet to ~30BB you can decide to fold if you think that villain is very tight, loosing only 9BB. But here, when you shove first, you don't leave yourself a decision.

If you played that way and got 4bet/shove, there is still a question, if you should just ship AKs. I think that because you block AA and KK, you will be mostly flipping (unless villain is some kind of maniac shipping weak aces for 100BB), so the only question is if you want to risk your tournament for a flip (and maybe sometimes bust vs AA or KK). On the early stage of a tournament I think it is fine (there is more value in doubling up than in surviving early).

P.S. In that particular spot you are getting stacked when you see the flop and the turn anyway ;)

Are you trying to grab the dead money in the pot? Nobody is gonna call you with worse hand. A fish will call ou w/ AQ and that's about it. You will face JJ+ and you'll be flipping or be crushed.

I agree, that shoving over 80BB into a ~12BB pot is definitely not the optimal play, even in the KO tournament.

Although this hand might have had the same end result anyway (depending if your opponent 4-bets JJ, or if he cold calls and if he does call, does he continue on the A high flop after facing a c-bet from preflop aggressor), it's more of a matter of how much room do you leave for your opponent to make mistakes against you. If you shove, he will rarely make any mistakes, probably folding AQ, AJ and also lower pairs, basically only continuing only with a range that is doing well against you. If you 3-bet smaller, he is able to make so many incorrect decisions- maybe getting sticky with AQs, maybe even 4-betting all-in hoping for a flip for your bounty etc. Even with JJ he would have been in a really tough spot on the flop, assuming he would have called rather than 4-bet you. And as mentioned above, if you 3-bet smaller you are still leaving room for yourself to fold to a 4-bet, meaning that you aswell are going to make less mistakes.

I wrote it in a hurry, I hope this makes sense :)
