I would like to ask if its always a snap call with pocket 9s in this spot according to villain's potential shoving range...i think it is +EV..whats your opinion guys? :)

How often is he stuffing it with 88 or worse? If it was me, i'd say not very often, so you're flipping at best. Maybe im wrong, but id be surprised if you are a big favourite very often in this spot.

I agree with Gerb. I would've guessed I was flipping for it as well. If the position was different I probably would've shoved my 99 to steal blinds or hope I win the flip, but being in the SB I MIGHT lay that down.

Hey guys and thanks for reply.
I need 42% equity to do the call in this spot..i dont need to be huge favourite..so i think according to shoving range he can have and i assume it into this range (77+,A10s+,AJo+,KQs)..its correct to call :)..he can have even wider range but i can't have safe assuptions as i had only 12 hands with him.

I think this is a call for me. Villain is shaping up to be a huge fish and often he's gonna end up with random odd hands when he shoves. It does seem close though. I don't think I'd call with 77

While it is true this guy is fishy and aggressive this is not a snap call. His 3bet preflop range is unknown. So you are guessing at best you have a flip at worse you are facing Big pairs and are completely dominated. You simply don't have enough information which I find is very common in tournaments.
