The fact is you have what looks like a very tight aggressive player or possible nit. This flop hits his nit range pretty hand. You cbet on the flop was small enough to allow him to call with a lot of hands including gut shots. Then he shoves on the turn. So what hands could he have? I doubt aces, kings and queens or AK as he should have 3 bet you pre flop with them. KQ would make sense as would a set of 8's. he could have called your cbet with AJ and now have the straight. he could have top paid of KJ and now have a open end straight draw as well. I would be sick if I were in this spot but might just make the fold here. You don't have big sample of hands her but enough to know he is not playing to many hands and considering he is all in I would make the tight fold vs him. You still have about 2 million in chips here and have time to make it up. If this happened against the small or the big blind I would call here.
