Hello everyone again. Right now, again, say that I focus on the result. But here such a situation this time I succumbed more to emotions. In general, this man played 7 all hands in a row all in. Well, no matter how I could not stand it and it turned out that I lost. My question is how to behave with such opponents? Throw out any hands without thinking and wait for the middle of the game or wait until they knock him out? And if he is lucky and he will fill a huge stack and will choke everyone at the table? In general, what to do with such players?

I usually just wait until I have a hand that I'm pretty sure is way ahead of his range and gamble. Usually hands in the top 30% are good enough.

Thank you for your post. Honestly I may have called there as well. I guess the right play would wait for AA KK QQ and try to stack him. He is clearly a bad player and it's hard to lose to that type of foolishness. Keep your head up and play with patience against these wreckless players.

Good luck to all:cool:

If you have noticed, that he is going all in before the flop at a very high frequenzy, you need to stop opening marginal hands like suited 1-gappers or rag aces. You are basically just donating chips to him, when you open hands, you are not willing to go all in with. You did actually get it in with A8 and were ahead, but I would have waited for something better. The tournament has just started, so its not a problem to simply fold for a few orbits and basically let someone else walk into the line of fire.

You assumed correctly that it is necessary to wait for the opponent to be eliminated by others. Your raise is useless, you give up your chips.

If he's literally jamming any two, just call him off with any ace or any king np. Don't be results oriented. If you intended to stack off on the A8o open then I like the play. Normally it would be a fold ofcourse (also if you notice someone like him on your table just fold the 86s from that position).

Hi,

You could fold all of those 3 hands preflop on a standard 9handed table (except Q9s maybe), more so here.
I find it a bit too loose to open those hands from those positions, unless you play a very loose style, but still very marginal.
You better tighten up, especially when a player goes all in every hand
Also I don't like your call with A8o. Not that you are not ahead from his range but I would pick a better hand to call with your stack sizes.
I know he's annoying but don't let him tilt you.

I don't think this one is a results oriented post. You didnt ask if you could have played this hand differently - you are asking what to do when facing a maniac. That is the difference here.
You know how you handle players like this? You call them! You know good and well he doesnt have hand every single time. So call them lighter than normal, the A8o when they jam on me again I snap call.

That being said - you are opening way too loose. The Q9s is acceptable - the 86s from the LJ is too loose and you are going to run into better hands OOP a ton - and the Ax rags we just open from the CO and Button - no need to open A8o from UTG+3 we just open ourselves up to being squeezed by worse and out flopped by better.

Against players that go all in very often you have to tighten up which is obvious but you also have to not VPIP (voluntary put money in pot) unless you are willing to go all in with it. Does not mean that you have to raise large or go all in yourself but you have to be willing to go with it. Otherwise you are just putting chips in the pot that will be lost when the crazy player goes all in. Wait for premium hands, something like JJ or better with pairs and AQ off plus. These hands you should feel good about calling an all in. Note that it is a very tight range and you will be folding a lot but the alternative is picking broadway hands or weaker Ax hands to go with and these will lose often enough that it is not worth going all in early in a tournament.
