Note for the American members:
Hey guys this is a satellite tournament which consists of 16 players. There are 4 initial tables -4max- and every winner of each proceed to the final table. First two players get awarded with 2 tickets $1.10. This is not the final table.

PokeTracker indicates that the BB player has the odds to call [28% and he had 28% precisely] [If I read the numbers correctly] but this guy was playing like maniac in this hyper-turbo structured tournament!

Is his call here justifiable? Would you call in this situation?

Easy call off with AK. If the top3 got tickets a fold could be justified here, but with only the top2 getting tickets, you have to get it in here.

The BB's call off is awful here, it's not about having 27% equity against the hands your opponents show up with that's needed to call, but 27% equity against the two shover's ranges needed to make a +cEV call, though cEV is irrelevant in a SNG satellite spot like this 2 off the seat.

The BB gains little tournament equity by calling and winning here, while calling and losing jeopardises his chances of winning a ticket, therefore he needs to be calling a tighter range of hands that are +$EV to call.

This is still the first round, so he needs to win this table to get a spot at the 2nd round table where it becomes top 2 get a ticket. This makes it even more of a no question call.

There is absolutely no value in survival, you need to get all the chips. Call all day. Call with A10+. If villain has shoved 6 in a row, as the stats indicate, then probably even call with any Ax.

With such cards, position and stack it's a MUST call. It's nice to have such player on the table as the BB. Sooner or later you are going to hit him. He could call it with everything and to win with everything. So no worries that you called! This was the right move.

The big blind is obviously feeling lucky played all hands. It is a fold for him although he is getting that nice juicy pot odds with half the chips in play in his stack.

He can push with this piece of cheese but cannot call off especially against 2 players. If he looses to anyone of you he will loose the chip lead. Being cheap leader is very important in these in order to be able to apply pressure and steal pots.

Unfortunately, his call here is justified. He risks only about 1/4 of his stack. And if successful, knock out two players at once, making the game at his desk. Against two "short" players, he can call with any two cards.
