.See how he played the whole hand, you have more hands that you are winning than the hands that are losing. for example, TT, 99,88,77,66, (55,44) (22) AJ, A, A9, A8, A7, A6, A5, (A4), (A3) KQ, KJ, KT , K9, K8, K7K6, K5K4, (K3), K2JT, T9,98,87,76,65,
in 35 most likely hands you are losing 8 and receiving 27
. Now let's go to the flush -acho he does not have the flush. simply by the way he played in the third round of betting.
2bb in a pot of 19, getting 11 behind. It's more for him to have been scared here. in this case, without being able to have more information from the hands of the opponent has been playing. and cbet on the flop, indicating more overcards than the game. I can make the connection happy here, even more that on the river hits A and he bets. but remembering that there are players who can do anything but the trend by all hands that I have played is you are winning.

fold flop lol

I know you haven't been playing poker lately and thus, haven't kept up with recent trends, but in 2018 poker, folding is not allowed, especially with a gutshot + nut BDFD :p

River is a call.

fold flop lol

I don't get it - you have a gut shot and hold the Ace of diamonds. I am interested to know why you fold.

Anyway as played river is a call. At these stakes, Villain can overplay AK AQ like this all day - and you block the nut flush make sit an easy call.

yeh i could be wrong but calling off 4bb here on a gutshot isnt a great idea imo, it could be a profitable call for sure. my main gripe with this type of spot is that we really only have a gutshot with backdoor equity from the Ad. if we hit our ace(without the 5 on the turn) were generally cry calling as we're usually outkicked. so theres certainly some reverse implied odds in play with making a call like this.

and also, i havent been playing at all trent ahahah. poker down in australia as far as im aware :)

oh if this were higher stakes, making these decently profitble calls could be a great idea. but here at the 10 cent level. you can pretty easily fold in these spots and jam/fold your way to a win/add another 10 tables lol.

that's my 5k post ^^ :O

I agree with es530, there are enough hands in villain's range that you beat that you can call the river here. However I wouldn't play A5o out of position 4 hands into a a micro SNG, it's far too easily dominated. I also think I would fold the flop, I think the only outs you can be confident about making you the best hand are the four 4s and you're not getting the pot odds to call.

I would like to add the caveat that I'm a beginner myself (to taking the game seriously at least) and am not yet a winning player so can't guarantee I'd be making good decisions myself. This is the first time I've tried to offer advice and I welcome any feedback to what I said!

Just call and pray that he doesn't have 4. Hard to analyze this kind of games.
