i figure im mostly ahead of his range here. lots of 2p combos, only 2 hands that i think bet the whole way down that are ahead of me 10J/AJ. i think TT fits this line too. easy call?

Tough call. I couldn't see him calling with a JT, even with the raise despite it being a small one. The only 3 hands I could see him having are AJ , TT, and KJ and 2 of them have you beat.

I understand your slow-play on the flop, but I reckon a check call isn't the best as he could be drawing to so many hands. I'd suggest a check-raise (minimum bet) as you have complete control of the hand then and at least on the turn, if and if a scary card comes, check and I can't see him betting again. If he does, I'd smooth call. He knows you got something, whether he has the goods is a different matter.

The way you played that hand though, that call on the turn was a bad one, unless you know you were going to call the next bet. I could tell a big bet on the river was coming, as he knows he's got the goods and wants to take down a nice pot or to get even more money from you.

any card T or higher and i either win with the FH/Quads or split with the straight. tons of implied value here as if he flopped the straight or turned the flush i will rape him on the river if it pairs. i dont mind the turn call at all. plus if he wants to keep the pot small and let me redraw oop im fine with that if he did flop the monster

Who says he's not got quads if you hit the full house? But how many cards you drawing to? 11 cards (1 ace, 3 kings, 3 queens, 4 jacks) to win, 3 cards (3 tens), to split. I can understand your slow-play but what if you miss? (Like you just did). Then your not in the best situation. Your roughly just over 25% to hit that card (11/43) to win.

I think he made that bet as a value bet to get you to call just like you did. You may be ahead, but I wouldn't rule out the flush either. I can see him calling with QQ and looking to force you out on the river.

i maybe see QJh/QTh betting this too, but we rarely see these after a hefty raise pf.

we are only behind 3 of those hands with huge implied odds if we fill. i dont see how we fold $4/$14 like that with 13 outs (3 tens 3 jacks 3 queens 3 kings and 1 ace to help us) and very nice implied odds.

Not doubting the call. I'm saying a raise was better. You may of been out of position but I feel you'd be better off in the hand even if you missed one of those 14 outs.

i dont know where i am. i would really like to control the pot size by simply calling here and re-evaluating once the river hits. this is surely a wa/wb situation

Turn call is extremely standard, mostly for reasons joose explained. Fold would be pretty awful. EDIT: raise is bad too; We only get action on it from hands we really don't want to get action from. Say we raise and he shoves. We're obviously beat by either a flush, more likely a J that doesn't want another heart coming out, and we have to fold. Then we've successfully screwed ourselves out of a chance to see the river and stack him. Raise is really really gross

Man, I hate this. I probably call just because I don't respect most people's play at 50NL.
