Do we need to know this?

I'm probably already weak/tight; I do this if I'm the villain with TT, JJ, QQ, AQ, including the fold.

If I'm in your position, I do this with 98s, maybe TT. There's not a lot of other hands I just call both preflop and this flop, but I think you can bet with anything on the turn after he checks.

that's kinda my point. people are betting with JJ/QQ on this flop hoping to get worse hands to call, and when they do they fold the turn. i actually had 22 in this hand. his range is so huge that only a few times can we put him on a better hand that a weak tight will not fold (aa/kk/99)

So a proper TAG play would still lead the turn and river, barring something really ugly (4 card flush/straight), or barring a reraise from a non-LAG/SLAG player?

check the ugly tables, you mean? Not flop in your actual game.

zatch13=nit(ish) based on 47 hands

All i can say about this thread. You have a random unhit underpair, at least thats what i would be holding here.

people are betting with JJ/QQ on this flop hoping to get worse hands to call, and when they do they fold the turn.

I'm not sure I agree with this or maybe I'm misunderstanding. If I had QQ/JJ/AQ on this flop I'm betting to try and find out where I stand, not specifically to get a worse hand to call. This is a standard c-bet. Personally on this flop with QQ/JJ/AQ I want to take it down now.

Also depends on how Villain perceives you.

with JJ this is a wa/wb hand. if i bet, worse hands are not likely calling. if i check, i give a medium pp a chance to bet while i also control the pot size

If we're holding QQ/JJ, it's a pretty standard wa/wb situation, and if we're villain we should be checking the flop. For AQ it's a pretty good c-betting flop though.

edit: what ^^^joose said

The villian out of position here has to make actions that are read-dependant. The c-bet on the flop is standard and the turn check is typical. Seems he reads you as solid and expects you to have a King when you call the flop. He probably had AQ,AJ,QQ,JJ,or TT and correctly folded. If he read you as maniac, he might continue with those hands.
