Can you fold this on the river...

Player just joined the ring game so I have no reads at this point. My question is with the betting pattern displayed can you let this go on the river? I was shocked with the outcome when I called.

Put him on a wide range of hands from 99-KK PP or Flush Draw, or AQ, which I felt was slim compared to the range.

No pre flop raise and minimal post flop bet tells you nothing about the strength of the other players' hands. The fact that you were reraised on both the turn and river, combined with his slow play pre flop and post flop, should have tipped you off the guy was holding a monster.

What an ugly hand. This guy completely misplayed his AA, obviously. But you have to fold on this river. What do you beat? There are straight, flush and higher 2 pr and set possibilities for you to bet into this flop and call that raise of your river bet. When you're raised on the turn, I think check/fold is the best option for the river.

Ya, you're right skold. I'm realizing that making 2 pair with overcard's and not being able to lay them down is a big hole in my game. Going to write this on a sticky and put it on my monitor so I remember.

Hmmmm The Art of slow play Almost backfired on him but I would have folded on the Turn I put him on A pp filled in a set or K10 suited in diamonds you should have laied it down on the turn raise...

Just a quick question. How did you come up with the hand range you stated in your opening post? 99-KK and AQ is very wide, but alot of those hands will open PF for a raise. With everyone limping in it's very difficult to put anyone on anything meaningful.

Also the turn looks like a good card for you but actually it's a nightmare. When you're raised here expect to see bigger two pair hands and broadway straights. That said I think you can fold the river and be fairly comfortable that you're beat.

Damn I hate to see people limp in with the rockets. I probably wouldn't even have bothered to bet in your position with that JQ. Afterall there were 4 players seeing the flop and that ace was a very probable card to hit one of the players. But to that turn-raise I would have folded in an eyeblink. Too many hands that could beat you and you really didn't have too many outs to improve your hand with. But of course it's always easier to say afterwards and especially if you weren't even in the hand yourself...

But one more thing that I can't stand except limping the rockets... making a mini-bet...

About the play on the river...if you had decided to go to showdown check-call would have been the better play. Just that if he has a better hand (as he/she did), you're going to get raised and if he had a draw and missed it, he could try to make a bluff on you and give you extra money in that case.
