No I would never he just bet 1/2 pot on the river, just call and move on if he shows quads.

Easy call, why not! Thats not a big pot and also not a big bet from enemy.

I don't hate the fold but I don't like it. He check called all the way to the river, he could've been way more aggressive but was probably worried you'd fold.

The 10 on the river sucks, but his bet on the river is only 1/2 pot, gives you a pretty good price to call and see a bluff possibly. But, if you're a super tight player then fair enough.

You could've also maybe reraised and seen where you're at , if you feel like he's bluffing, but a flat call here would've been fine, if you lose then you lost to quads and cant complain.

TL;DR, fold or call, neither of these is the wrong or right decision, just upto table dynamics and how he's played previously.
If it was me, I'd have tanked then probabyl called.
