Preflop call is ok I suppose, flop is a pretty standard fold, turn and river are fine - I don't see what we're beating on the river but we're obliged to call the push.

I can't fully justify the call on the flop... I suppose I was just feeling lucky, the raiser was making it quite cheap and the implied odds dollar signs were springing up in my eyes... it's a 1 in 12 chance to hit on the turn but if I could squeeze $18 out of my opponents it may be worth it. He might also be continuation betting and I might get a free card on the turn... and sixes and nines could be possible outs...

I was a bit surprised on the turn when BOTH called my check-raise. I should have got a bit suspicious that one might have a straight or a set, so maybe checked the river. Or would that be losing value in the long run?

Seems ok to me though I would have folded 75% time pre-flop. The raise from early position is representing strength, though only a minraise? hmm...

For the time I did call, a $1.50 call for a pot of $4.50? Eish! Fold almost all of the time here.

If I made it as far as the turn (unlikely), I'd put in the raise as well. The fact that BB called that would scare the pants off me, since he could have any two cards. But too late now...

By the time the river comes, you've got to call. No question. The bet wasn't a bad idea, I think. A check would still have had you facing the all-in I reckon; at least a bet gave you some fold equity. Would you have folded the $50 bet with ~2-1 odds? I might have, but then I'm a wuss :)

That was my first reaction too, but with the stacks as deep as they are and a king out there - aren't we fairly likely to stack off AA/KK/AK if we hit our straight? Implied odds are skyrocketing here. Toss in the backdoor flush as an added bonus.

I can identify with the presumption that he lost this hand or he wouldn't have posted it, but that's still one of my pet-peeves:

https://www.cardschat.com/showthread.php?t=71067

The hands that are posted are often of the kind "I lost; could I have played it better?"

Here's the problem with posting these hands: They're extremely results-oriented. Chris recently posted a long rant about the dangers about this, so I won't go into the details about why results-orientation sucks, but I want to talk about a secondary problem that arises because of how common these threads are:

Many posters seem to presume that a hand posted is a hand that was lost.
